Interview for Congressman Mark DeSaulnier's Office

I had first heard about a internship with Congressman Mark DeSaulnier I was in one of my politics classes. Megan, the District Representative came to our class and began to explain to us what the internship entailed. I was extrememely intrigued but I didn't have enough time in my schedule or a semester internship so I decided to apply for the Summer.

When the time came I reached out to Megan and she sent me an email back scheduling an internview. When I came to the interview I was actually extrememly nervous. I had never worked for the government or the any Member of the United States Congres and so I didn't know what to expect. As I was driving to the office, I took deep breaths and before I knew it was there. I parked and walked into the office. As soon as I came to into an interview and I sat down Megan and I started talking and talking and the interview went really well. I found out that Megan was actually a Saint Mary's Alum and we began to connect over similar classes. After about 45 minutes our interview ended and I left the office.

About two weeks later I recieved an email saying that I had gotten the internship!
