Making a Case

In addition to my summer project, I also had to make cases and put them into InterTrac. Today was the day where I inputted probably 20 cases into InterTrac as there was a huge mailing sent to the Congressman the Day before. So since it was my shift that morning and after all of my daily tasks and emails were read I needed to make sure that I inputted all of the cases in before I left. This meant that I could not work on my summer project that day--but I wasn't too worried about that.

Each case that I inputted into InterTrac were letters that students had submitted to the Congressman about their concerns for the government especially the executive branch of government. What I had to do in order to put all of the Information into InterTrac was I needed to scan all of the documents that the students had sent in and load them into their own case files with an address and a confirmation that they were actual constituents. I did this for each student and then when I was done I put each of the letters in a file for all of the information given to us within the month. This process wasn't difficult for me to complete it was just time-consuming. Despite all of the time that I took for this process I was able to learn a lot of the government and what a big part of keeping constituents happy does for re-election.
